Larry Bird


Larry Bird was a greatest basketball player that played for the Boston Celtics. His positions were small forward and power forwar. His number was 33. His biggest rivalry was Magic Johnson in 1984. Playing a game in the Finals Larry Bird and Magic Johnson had the game of a lifetime. The score was 111-102 with the Celtics winning. During that season Larry Bird averaged 27.4 points a game with a .484 shooting average, .500 is perfect. He also averaged 14 rebounds in a game. In the Finals Larry Bird recived the MVP of the year. In 1985, the lakers won the Finals in Boston Garden with Larry averaging 23.8 points, .449 shooting average, and 8.8 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game. That year Lary Bird was once again named the MVP of the year. The next year Larry would have another great season but with some help from Hall of Famer Bill Walton. togeather over the years they were unstoppable until the unfortunate last game of his career. Larry Bird got old. He retired in 1992 because of back problems. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame and will live there forever.
